In collaboration with the new collection of Nixon watches launching first in Singapore at TANGS PlayLab, Nixon brings the noise – literally – with an explosion of ‘live’ DJ acts in the TANGS Showcase Window at TANGS Orchard throughout the weekend from 2nd May (Sat) to 3rd May (Sun) non-stop from day to night. As part of the fringe activities leading to Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Festival, the event is staged to combine Nixon’s design-focused accessories with electrifying music from the artistes performing at the Worldwide Festival. Performances include a mix of influences from some of Singapore’s best, with opening act by Cosa Nostra, formed by saxophonist/producer Kaye and DJ Funk Bastard – possibly the only quasi-electronic act in Singapore that aligns themselves with anything deep, black, obscure and funky.

Other top artistes include Funk, Soul and Hip-Hop outfit Pushin’ On – Singapore’s longest-running funk party that has performed in overseas gigs in places like Bali, Spain and Holland; reggae and thumping bass-heavy sounds from DubwiseSG; and Disco and House vibes from NOMSTA* – who has played top gigs at Zouk and Ministry of Sound as well as venues across Asia.
