Sandberg Wallpapers | Nora Collection
Swedish Royal Warrant Holder Sandberg has released a new range of wallpapers under the Nora Collection. The Sandberg pattern that has now become a classic, comes from two sources. They have combined their Scandinavian heritage with an urbane, international expression. The result is a personal collection of wallpapers that is both cosy and strong, influenced by the patterns of 18th century France, and traditional Scottish plaids. Now available at STYLE:NORDIC, Jump for more design pics.
STYLE:NORDIC is located at 39 Ann Siang Road
The range of colours is mild and calm, and includes touches of indigo blue, Bordeaux red and olive green, well-supplemented by a graphic black-white range.
New products in this collection include:
Collette, with a horse motif. This wallpaper has been named after one of our Irish customers, who in addition to being a very well-respected decorator, also raises horses.
Kina Slott, which means the Chinese Palace, and is now depicted both on textiles and wallpaper, is a unique idyllic spot in the huge landscaped park at Drottningholm. On Queen Lovisa Ulrika’s birthday in 1753, King Adolf Fredrik surprised her with a little Chinese country residence in Drottningholm Park. It was a very much
appreciated birthday present, as all of Europe was then crazy about chinoiserie. In the 1760s, the wooden structure was replaced by a more permanent building, which today contains one of foremost examples of European interior decorating with chinoiserie. Kina Slott, together with the entire palace grounds of Drottningholm, is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Miko is a fine-patterned wallpaper that was previously part of the Sandberg product range. We have now chosen to include it again, as we’ve noticed that more and more people have discovered the advantages of wallpapering all the walls of a room. Miko works well as a background, it you are hanging many pictures and works of art on the walls. The original inspiration for Miko comes from a Japanese book cover.
In addition to the above-mentioned new products, there are also the wallpaper patterns, Marcel (our classical and popular striped pattern), Stella (an easy surface pattern with twinkling stars), Ranold (Scottish tartan), Simon (silkdamask) with matching Debora (narrow-striped surface pattern), and naturally Nora (flower coil), which has lent its name to the entire collection.
