Originally released in 1978, The Nike Sting was a breakthrough silhouette in the running world. Built as a low-top, lightweight racing model with an extremely very low profile, the upper was crafted using a combination of a thin rust-colored suede with a striking breathable green nylon for the side panels. The Sting in fact was one of the first running models to feature D-ring eyelets for the lacing system. Lastly, Its suction-like outsole provided maximum grip for high speed and cadence running.
