First introduced to the market in 1959 to reflect the diversification of the denim market, the Lee Westerners (sometimes called Lee Whites) were the first white dress-up jeans and jackets. Made from Sateen, a lustrous and fine thread all-cotton fabric, the line created a new concept in slim, trim, authentic western cut pants and jackets. Exclusive Japanese Lee Westerner styles in four colours, tan, ecru, khaki and black are available at oki-ni now, jump for more pics and info.

The Sateen is very soft to touch, with a high thread count, but is very rugged still due to its strength. The Sateen construction uses the satin construction as in silk satin which means the threads are mostly on one
side of the fabric, giving a smooth and dressy look.
