You’ve probably downloaded some old school 64 bit games for the iPhone, but most emulators on the app store and third party sources have been unofficial. The Sega Ultimate Genesis is the official emulator app, and looks like a full virtual console for the iPhone; downloadable for free. Sega has also released a slew of classic games for the emulator in the app store, and with the store in-app purchasing system, you can download the free app, which comes with one free game in the form of Space Harrier 2, and buy other games from the Ultimate Genesis app itself. Available games include Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin, Shining Force and Golden Axe – all of which should bring back great nostalgic memories from when you were younger. The Sega Ultimate Genesis app will be available on the app store in early February.
