Last Friday, 22 January 2010, ExposureAn Artistic Showcase On Photography was launched at Orchard Central. The exhibition seeks to reinforces Orchard Central’s positioning as the place to be – where the fusion of art, photography and design happens at The Center of New. “Exposure” will be a month long exhibition, and there will also be an online contest for viewers and fans to participate in.  See below for more info, and check back soon on some event coverage.

Date: 22 Jan – 21 Feb 2010
Venue: B2, B1, and L1, Orchard Central

Spanning across L1 at the Discovery Walk, down to The Med in B1 and B2, these spaces will be converted into vibrant avenues where one can explore and discover vivid moments captured in time through the camera lens.

All works displayed will be available for public purchase at affordable prices during the month-long exhibition.

Some of the highlights of Exposure includes:

Personal works from up and coming fashion photographer, Chuck Reyes who last helmed the cover and fashion spread for JUICE magazine, Dec 2009 issue.

Weekly photo clinics also include:

  • What the ___ is Lomography? by Objectif, Lomographic Embassy of Singapore
  • Nature & Wildlife Photograph Tricks by C.S.Ling, Nikon’s spokesperson
  • The Charm of Film and Lo-fi Cameras by Lomotion

A competition themed “Orchard Central – The Center of New” will be held in conjunction with the showcase. Contestants can submit their photo entries online based on their own interpretation of theme.
