The globetrotting project G-Shock  ’Shock The World Tour’, which has visited 19 cities in 12 countries, including Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Mexico City, New York Shanghai, Hong Kong, Sydney, Bangkok and Tokyo, since it started on 11 June 2009 will be making a stop in Singapore. The urban lifestyle brand has successfully merged extreme sports, street culture, fashion, music and art; and this tour pays tribute to the legendary G-Shock timepiece.

Highlights for the highly anticipated Singapore leg of the tour, which will be held at Velvet Underground, include the unveiling of  the limited edition collaborative watches. G-Shock has evolved from a sport timepiece to a fashion must-have, and for Singapore, the collaborative watch was designed by street-lifestyle label SMG (founded by JJ Lin) in collaboration with Devilock, a renowned Japanese cult street apparel and lifestyle brand, as well as Singapore’s experimental art collective :phunk. Based on the individual brand identities, these artists have each created a one-off design of which only 10 pieces will be available for sale locally at SMUDGEstore. Party music will be pumped out by Horse Meat Disco (UK).

This globetrotting project has visited 19 cities in 12 countries, including Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Mexico City, New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Sydney, Bangkok and Tokyo, since it started on 11 June 2009 in London.
In each city, tour events feature highlights such as the showcase of the latest timepieces and exciting live performances by popular musicians and DJs who are supporters of the dynamic brand.
On January 29th, the “SHOCK THE WORLD TOUR” party will make its much-anticipated stop in Singapore at Velvet Underground @ ZOUK.
At the forefront of modern design, G-Shock has evolved from a sport timepiece to a fashion must-have and here in Singapore, limited edition collaborative pieces, specially designed by street-lifestyle label SMG (founded by popular singer JJ Lin) in collaboration with Devilock, a renowned Japanese cult street apparel and lifestyle brand, as well as Singapore’s experimental art collective :phunk, will be unveiled.
