With the recent rise in popularity of the phenomenon that is social media, it’s no surprise that someone decided that it would be a great idea to re-tell old classic stories and fables in a much easier way for the younger generation to understand by employing the use of “tweets” via the compilation of a mini novel. The outcome? Twitterature.

Twitterature contains over 60 of the greatest classic literature pieces known to mankind, but condensed versions, layed out using a twitter format. Now you can completely understand the entire tale of Romeo and Juliet in just three pages, and tweets have made it even easier to comprehend than the late 90’s remake of Romeo and Juliet on the big screen. And there’s also a glossary of online acronyms and Twitterary terms to aid the amateur. Take that traditional media, looks like social media’s having a much greater impact on society than you ever thought possible. The book’s a great fun read, and best of all? It would make you seem extremely cultured very fast. Twitterature is currently available at all leading bookstores in Singapore.
