Founded in 2008, independent English shoe makers Mr. Hare are back with their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection, dubbed ‘Hot Steppers’. The heart of the collection is made of Vachetta, and pays tribute to legendary kings of dancehall, where youth honed its style, physical expression and moves. So it’s no surprise that the shoe models are named after the likes of Johnny Pacheco, Victor Boa, Fela Kuti, Phil Spector, Sir Coxsone, King Tubby, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ray Barretto and Sir Jablonsky. So that’s where we’re headed this season, a throwback to the fourties and fifties. We always knew old was gold. The Mr. Hare ‘Hot Steppers’ Collection is available in Singapore at Surrender.
