London born Anthony Peto moved to Paris in 1986 and teamed up with milliner, Marie Mercié and together they created one of France’s best known women’s hat companies. In 1992, Anthony started to design his own hats produced in the same atelier.
Anthony Peto designs hats for men and women. The styles are mainly traditional but the fabrics and details combine to create something that is contemporary and very wearable. Summer fabrics include hand-made straws from Ecuador and Irish linens. Winter fabrics include melusine, plain and printed fur felt.
The hats are all hand-made, in-house. Unusually this also includes the cap styles (such as ‘Flat Cap’ and ‘Baker’s Boy’) to maintain the shape of the hat and to give a better fit for the customer.
The flawlessly handmade  Anthony Peto collection of summer hats is now online.
