As we kick off the month of September, one of our favourite homegrown nights, djB’s WeLuvHouse, welcomes us on Friday. Guest starring AN21, the duo looks set to take the crowd at Zouk by storm. Next up on Saturday, Zouk presents the 2010 DMC World DJ Championships, Singapore Finals. This is followed by DJ Shiftee, helming the decks as he spins the beats that takes you right into the weekend. More info on the listings below.

Catch DMC World DJ Championship, Singapore Finals as turntablist-hopefuls combat head-to-head to win the coveted title and the chance to be flown to represent the nation at the World Finals in London on 17-18 October. Having created the biggest internationally recognised names in Hip-Hop such as A-Trak, Cash Money, Craze, DJ Kentaro and Scratch Perverts, plus our very own local turntable whizzes Andrew Chow, Koflow and Rattle, this exalted DJ battle readies to crown the most deserving decks-champion who manages to beat-mix, tweak and scratch his way to the pinnacle of vinyl stardom using just 2 turntables, a mixer, and myriads of creativity.

DJ Shiftee has certainly made his mark, translating his intuitive math geek mentality into far-reaching success on the turntables, electrifying crowds all over the world. An overachiever armed with a degree from Harvard, 2 unique DMC World Champion titles, induction into the DMC DJ Hall of Fame, an NYU professorship, and nonstop gigs round the globe, kicking the party in it’s a*s, he fittingly sits in to judge our local turntablists at the DMC Championships and of course, show off his blazing playlists & world champion skills!
