English pop sensation La Roux (aka Elly Jackson) performed on the runway at Viktor & Rolf’s spring/summer 2011 men’s show in Paris today. Designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren said La Roux’s androgynous style and “the way she plays with gender” made her a great fit for the brand. “It felt logical. She’s right for our men’s clothes” said Horsting.
The singer appeared in a custom-made Viktor & Rolf suit from the label’s Monsieur line, accessorised with the iconic spectacles for which the dynamic designer duo are known.
“I love suits. I wouldn’t feel comfortable in girls’ clothes” said the singer. Included on the uncomfortable list? High heels, which the raven-haired songstress declined to wear, “We asked her to wear high heels under her suit, but she refused. We love that.” Horsting said.
La Roux has offered to return the favour by giving the designers a part in her upcoming In for the Kill music video. “Hopefully they’ll be into it. If not, we’ll have to find look-alikes with glasses” she said.

Calvin Klein “Censored”
Calvin Klein commercials were banned by U.S. tv networks and ads were banned for being “borderline pornography”.
So the company got techy and played around with QR (Quick Response) codes to present a gigantic QR Code billboard to “censor” (literally), a steamy ad attached to the code below:
Scan the code and it will link you to an ad featuring models Lara Stone, “A.J.,” Sid Ellisdon, Grayson Vaughan and Eric Anderson. Hot. What’s your take on the tech side? Hassle? Fun? Or just lame? Admit it, our itchy hands will automatically get our phones out to give it a try in 5, 4, 3, 2, …
