Carbon4 presents Carbonated Vol. 2.1, a collaborative event to celebrate local urban art. Local artists and establishments will come together this Friday, 30th July, at Orchard Central to showcase an exhibition of art installations and to launch a range of Carbonated collaboration products. These products have come to fruition as local artists, The Killer Gerbil, Antz, Sheryo & Zero get in cahoots with the event organizer Carbon4. Also, witness the action by the latter three who will get busy with Live Painting showcases alongside their Interactive Art Installations.

What’s an event without awesome treats? Satisfy your beer cravings and chomp down some muffin lovelies while our homegrown rapper Will’s Invasion and DJ J Stylez grant us some pumping audio pleasure. We foresee an astounding event promising to set the mall ablaze tomorrow evening. Think audio and visual satisfaction all within in a shopping mall cool enough to take us. That’s a first. So be there and we guarantee you a good time. The event happens from 7:30pm till late.

Boards & Stuff has opened another retail store on the premises of new *Scape, located in the heart of Orchard road. The store continues to stock favorites such as T-Level, Obey, Macbeth and The Hundreds, along with adidas Originals and Pull-In. The boys had an official opening party a week back, with local legendaries Plain Sunset playing a rare acoustic set to get the party started.

Sup Clothing and The Killer Gerbil, two of the biggest names in the local Singaporean streetwear community, come together to celebrate the highly anticipated launch of The Killer Gerbil’s clothing collection. The collaborative collection will be launched this coming Saturday at Sup Clothing, and you know those guys can throw one hell of a party. So head down for the explosive collection launch and we’ll see you there.

What does Marina Bay inspire in you? People from all walks of life drew on this inspiration and translated it into 20 iconic flags. One of our favourite multi label boutiques, Surrender,  has since reopened and commenced their operations at The Raffles Hotel Arcade. We previously featured some exclusive shots of their previous two stores under a nostalgic pictorial trip down memory lane, see the feature here. Today sees the official launch day of *Scape and Camp Pong is throwing “Together In Electric Dream” – a U.V. party from 7pm to 2am. JUICE DJ QUEST returns to its lives at Zouk and like always, JUICE is on the search for Singaporean DJ talents to prove their worth and earn their salt. Since 2001, this annual mix DJ competition has been presented by JUICE Magazine to give local jocks a chance to compete in a club setting (in front of a full dance floor) and for them to showcase their skill, creativity and ability to create waves behind the decks. For the very first time in Singapore, Vans will be celebrating Go Skateboarding Day this coming Sunday, 20th June 2010. First celebrated in 2004, Go Skateboarding Day has become a global phenomenon, where skaters all over the globe drop whatever they might be doing on this day and head out to skate and celebrate the lifestyle that is skateboarding. Vans will be kicking off the event from the Vans boutique in VivoCity followed by a bus trip around town. The Vans bus will be bring skaters to various skate shops and then making a final stop at the *SCAPE Skate Park at Somerset for some shredding. Local urban artist Jahan will be showcasing 3 custom designed skateboards along with DJ Phay, Hypeman TechOne, and a whole bunch of notable local skaters will also be on hand to show off their mad skills. It’s been only less than 2 weeks since Surrender closed it’s doors at the boutique’s Devonshire Road premises, and we already miss our weekly dose of browsing the racks filled with the likes of  Thom Browne, Gitman Vintage, wTaps and Visvim. We’re real glad and excited that our favorite muti-label boutique in Singapore is about to re-open its doors at it’s new Raffles Hotel venue.

This Saturday, The White Rabbit hosts another Saturday Service party featuring DJ Kaos. DJ Kaos is an integral part of the Berlin underground scene, producing a variety of twisted dance. He has performed all over the globe, from Europe, Japan, Australia, Brazil to the US and has released original music on such seminal dance labels as Eskimo, Clone, Playhouse, as well as early singles for Rong Music and now Rong/ DFA. adidas Originals had previously held a street themed party right in the heart of the city at Clifford Square. A section was cordorned off and a night of playing on the streets in its truest sense was carried out. Performance acts included football freestylers, foosball competitions, fixie crew performances and true life graffiti art from international and local adiartists.
