The 2010 World Cup is over, and in lieu of the ‘Write The Future’ campaign, Nike has produced another short video clip dubbed ‘The Future Has Been Written’ which features Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Piqué of the victorious Spanish team. The clip is a spin off from a scene in the primary ad campaign.

The Ransom by adidas collections have always been forthcoming with their videos showcasing individual pieces of their upcoming collections. For their upcoming Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection, Dr Denim has gone one up in the usual lookbook department and have gone on to produce a short film entitled, Salad Days. The short film follows a day in the life of four elderly friends and shows the audience how they live their lives in similar fashion to that of 20-something urban hipsters. The term ‘salad days’ is most often used as an idiomatic expression, referring to a youthful time is one’s life accompanied by the inexperience, idealism and indiscretion often associated with youth – you know, because it’s raw and flavoursome, like a good salad. But as far as Dr Denim is concerned, your salad days extend well beyond the bounds of youth. And just to prove their point, they’ve made a short film documenting this well known medical fact.

Jil Sander has announced that it will be streaming it’s upcoming men’s fashion show live from Florence via it’s website, jilsander.com. The streaming will be from the show at Pitti Uomo 78 in Florence, and it is in cooperation with Pitti Immagine and vogue.it, and it will give front row-like views of the upcoming men’s ready to wear collection, along with the footwear and bag collections for Spring/Summer 2011.

The latest installment of the 2010 Originals campaign, “The Street Where Originality Lives,” combines Star Wars, adidas and the world’s largest sporting event in a cinematic first that takes the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ to a whole new galaxy. The film is a creative re-edit of one of the most famous Star Wars movie scenes, the Mos Eisley Cantina, and features David Beckham, Franz Beckenbauer, Snoop Dogg, Noel Gallagher, Ian Brown, Ciara, Jay Baruchel, Daft Punk, DJ Neil Armstrong, and not to mention Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO and Obi-Wan Kenobi. This unique film was created as a result of a close partnership with Lucasfilm Ltd. who granted adidas use of their film for this special execution. Check out the film clip below.

The new commercial is directed by two time Academy Award nominee Alejandro González Iñárritu, and features some of the game’s current greats such as  Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney, Franck Ribery, Cristiano Ronaldo, Cesc Fabregas, Ronaldinho, Fabio Cannavaro, Tim Howard and Landon Donovan, with guest appearances by Kobe Bryant and Roger Federer. The commercial shows that the moulding the future is what drives these professionals, hence the brand is challenging you to write your own. In a shift from the regular lookbook, local label Sup Clothing has put together a visually entertaining video to showcase some of their Spring/Summer 2010 offerings. The video documents the crew’s trip to Bandung, Indonesia via photos and short clips, rocking and representing their line themselves.

Karl Lagerfeld premiers his short movie supporting Chanel’s Cruise 2010/11 Collection alongside an exclusive runway in Saint Tropez. Filmed in Saint Tropez in Southeastern France, the film features Karolina Kurkova, Elisa Sednaoui, and Pascal Greggory. Models Freja Beha Erichsen, Baptiste Giabiconi, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Heidi Mount also play supporting roles. Leigh Lezark made substantial appearances in the film, doing what she does best, spinning tunes to the inset party and also doubling up as “Coco” and “Bianca”(Mick Jagger’s first wife).
